Sold
Finally, we sold our car. And may I just say that, so far, one of my favorite things about selling my car is handing in my license plates and getting the little slip back from the division of motor vehicle that says, "Surrendered."
Hello Bob, Dennis Corrado here. I have developed my 2007/8 Book Club list and RATS is one of my choices....all books must in paperback so I hope when the month is definite we can have you in for a Q&A with the group. As to surrender... I too have to hand in a vintage Mercedes but I keep putting it off anf off. Once when I was on the beach outside my apt in Santa Monica during my graduate studies at USC film school I looked up and a sky writing plane was writing Surrender Dorothy. Perhaps for a particular beach crowd but I never think of the word surrender without that memory. And now how will we surrender Iraq......? Click the glass slippers??
